Home to unique and aesthetic cafés, sip your way through Seoul’s trendy coffee scene in a traditional Hanok village.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Ready for an amazing adventure? Buckle up because we're about to embark on an experience that'll take us through some of my absolute favorite spots. And with a local host by your side in Seoul, it's sure to be a great adventure. Let's dive right in!
Your journey kicks off at the fascinating Soha Salt Pond. Picture this: a vast expanse of glistening salt fields stretching out before you, shimmering under the sun. It's like walking on a giant, sparkling blanket! The air here has a unique, salty tang that's oddly refreshing, and if you listen closely, you might even hear the faint whispers of the ocean. As you stroll around, you'll see salt workers diligently harvesting the salt, their movements almost meditative. It's mesmerizing to watch and gives you a deep appreciation for the effort that goes into something we often take for granted. Don't forget to snap a few photos – the contrast between the white salt and the azure sky is absolutely stunning. And if you get a chance, try some of the salt; it's pure, crunchy, and has an incredibly intense flavor.
Now, let's head towards our next stop – Mil Toast, a cozy little café that's an absolute gem. As soon as you step inside, the rich aroma of freshly baked bread envelops you. The interior is warm and inviting, with rustic wooden tables and comfy chairs that make you want to stay forever. Their toast is legendary. Seriously, you haven't lived until you've tried their honey butter toast. It's thick, golden brown, and dripping with sweet, buttery goodness. And don't get me started on their lattes – creamy, smooth, and just the right amount of kick to keep us going on our adventure. There are so many options here, but luckily, you have a host to help you decide what to get.
Feeling satisfied and ready for more? Let's head to Cheongsudang Café. Trust me, this place is a treat for the senses. Nestled amidst lush greenery, this café has a serene, almost magical vibe. The scent of freshly brewed tea mingles with the sweet fragrance of blooming flowers, creating an intoxicating aroma that instantly relaxes you. The café itself is a beautiful blend of traditional and contemporary design. Large windows let in plenty of natural light, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding gardens. Order their signature herbal tea – it's a refreshing blend of local herbs that's both soothing and invigorating. And don't forget to try their delicate pastries, especially the green tea macaron. It's like a little piece of heaven.
Your final stop is Café Highwaist Ikseon. This place is the epitome of cool. With its retro-chic decor and eclectic mix of vintage furniture, it feels like stepping into a different era. The walls are adorned with quirky art pieces, and there's always some smooth jazz playing in the background, adding to the laid-back vibe. Their menu is equally impressive. From artisanal coffees to inventive cocktails, there's something for everyone - your host will definitely introduce you to some new fun flavors. I highly recommend their cold brew – it's strong, smooth, and has just the right amount of bite. Pair it with one of their homemade cookies, and you've got yourself the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.
So, there you have it! A whirlwind adventure through some of my favorite spots in Seoul. Each place is unique and special in its own way, offering a perfect blend of tradition, modernity, and charm. I hope you enjoy this adventure as much as I did. Can't wait to hear all about your experience!

Your guide was fantastic. He was very patient and helpful with our 3 young children.
Show moreGJ was amazing. From the moment we got off the metro and was steps from meeting her she was communicative and found us. It was very fast paced which we also found appropriate as New Yorkers! She was very knowledgeable on current events and past history and was attuned to giving us details on what she thought we would be interested in like the Queen’s quarters and duties. We appreciated how warm and friendly she was and she made sure to cater to our needs. She kept our attention for the whole four hours and was great about taking our groups photos even giving us posing directions. We loved that she found us the best deal for our hanbok rental and brought us off the beaten path to try amazing local cuisine! All in all you will have a fantastic and fun experience with GJ!
Show moreJeeseon was the most excellent guide! She expertly tailored my tour to my exact wishes and guided me around the city with care and ease. She has a wonderful personality, so one immediately feels a warmth and a friendship with her. This means one can feel free to ask her questions, which you know are received with attention and genuineness. She knows the history of Seoul and does a great job of interjecting bits of knowledge during your tour. I loved my three-hour walking tour and highly recommend Jeeseon for all of your tour guide needs. She’s the best!
Show moreMr Andrew Lee was very knowledgable and very organized, we saw all the sights we wanted to see and learned more about the history and culture. Highly recommend him and the tour!
Show moreAndrew was very funny and informative. He asked us for input and gave us a tentative itinerary the day before we met, which made us feel taken care of and prepared for the tour.
Show moreSteve was great. He was flexible meeting me at Seoul station, packing in a ton of great experiences and information into four hours and ensuring I got back when and where I needed to be on time (due to a shorter layover).
