You can find many Japanese temples in Kyoto, see Japanese Geisha, and experience wearing traditional Japanese Kimonos. Kyoto has a lot of nature spots too, such as the Kamogama rivers, mount Kurama, Amanohashidate and so many more. Furthermore, Kyoto is known for Matcha/ green tea.
