Embark on a captivating journey to Hiroshima from Fukuoka, guided by a local expert, and witness the city's inspiring rebirth.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
With your local insider as a GPS, guidebook, and Google, you’ll discover more than just Hiroshima’s tragic World War II history. Experience its rich ancient culture and the modern Hiroshima of today: a vibrant hub of friendly locals, pristine parks, tightly-packed sake bars, and plenty of okonomiyaki (savory pancake) restaurants serving Hiroshima’s “soul food”. You could visit the striking symbol of the city, the Atomic Bomb Dome, stroll down the soft sand of the Bayside Beach or explore ancient shrines and temples – from hydrangea-lined Jinguji-temple to Itsukushima. On Miyajima Island, see nature at its most impressive: lush forests, turquoise ocean, and the iconic “floating” torii gate: a shrine that’s partially submerged at high tide.

An interesting trip with lots to see, well explained by the tour guide who was very friendly and helpful. There are certainly more beautiful places and attractions to see in Tokyo and the surrounding area, but it's definitely worth it for a half day.
Show moreWe had a great day on Miyajima. Kaori our private guide made our tour in Hiroshima and Miyajima flow smoothly, saving us time and trouble free. Our tour coincided with the Emperor’s visit which could have been complicated but thanks to Kaori, we had no problems. She communicated with us many times prior to the day and rearranged timing to suit us. Kaori was kind enough to book lunch at a Japanese French fusion restaurant we would not have found ourselves. Her general knowledge of history was impressive, as well as knowing where to get the freshest oyster and refill lemon beers!
Show moreI did two tours with Ai and both were incredibly fun!
Show moreI'll keep it short and simple. This was a very good experience. The guide was helpful and knowledgable. He had good communication skills and I would book with this company again.
Show moreTaiyo was absolutely wonderful and flexible with all our needs. He was knowledgeable and knew the area well. Due to COVID, the regular restaurants on the tour were not open so he needed to find new places to go. It seemed as though he was scrambling last minute to find places so some pre-planning would have been appreciated. He could have checked restaurants ahead of time to find places that were open.
Show moreOverall the tour was really fun. we went to some shrines and temples. We also went to a Fukuoka handcraft center and we ate some local food. It was a really enjoyable experience. Sato san catered the tour to our request and even gave my son nice surprises. It was very thoughtful of her.
