Vine-draped alleyways, community spaces, off-the-wall concept stores and cat cafes.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Fancy a traditional tea ceremony? Or perhaps you’d prefer bar hopping between tachinomiya, standing pubs where sake and craft beer go hand in hand with friendly conversation? Nakazakicho might seem cliquey, but it has something for everyone.
Even if you’re the furthest thing from a hipster, you’ll appreciate the culture and historicity of this densely-packed ‘hood, home to some of Osaka’s top hangouts, like Club Noon - it’s a trendy cafe by day. Still, after nightfall, it mutates into a unique party experience, with vibrations from the JR Kyoto train line above adding to the crazy atmosphere.
Your host will also ensure you don’t miss the secret gems, like hidden vintage stores and art galleries. The longer you look, the more you see.

Saw the Osaka hot spots as well as some off the beaten path! Maria was great and knew her stuff! We highly recommend!
Show moreTour was awesome and Alex was great. He took us to all the sights he had planned and we didn’t feel like we were rushed. Definitely our best tour yet.
Show moreLoys was an absolutely fantastic tour guide, and I can’t recommend him highly enough! He showed me all the highlights of Osaka, including Osaka Castle, a beautiful garden, various temples, and bustling shopping districts. He even brought me to an incredible Japanese curry spot, which was a delicious highlight of the day. Throughout the tour, he patiently answered my countless questions, always gracious, kind, and eager to share his knowledge. What truly set Loys apart was his deep passion for Osaka and his ability to make history and culture come alive through fascinating stories and anecdotes. He had an incredible grasp of Japanese history and traditions, and thanks to him, I gained a much deeper appreciation and understanding of Japanese culture. I also loved that he spoke perfect English and, with his Western background, could offer unique insights into Japan from both a local and a foreigner’s perspective. On top of all that, he had an eye for the best photo spots and helped me capture amazing pictures throughout the tour. He even helped me find unique souvenirs I would have never discovered on my own. At the end of the day, he personally made sure I got back to the train station and onto the bullet train to Tokyo, ensuring I wouldn’t get lost. Loys was easily one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had—his enthusiasm, knowledge, and kindness made the experience truly unforgettable. If any of my friends ever visit Osaka, I will absolutely send them his way. 10/10 recommend!
Show moreFumico showed me around some off beat areas & was very helpful in finding what I wanted to buy
Show moreNisa personalised the day to suit our family, and shared some great insights about the attractions as we visited different areas.
Show moreA thoroughly enjoyable evening with Haruhi, our guide. We were met in out hotel & travelled to Osaka Station, then walked from there to the Nakazaki area. It was a fun evening, discovering a totally different side of the city. We went in to a few shops that you wouldn’t have known were there. We would have liked to have stopped for a drink or a bite to eat to experience the area a little more. We did meet the owner of a Hippie Shop while buying earrings, & that was great. We wandered back towards Osaka Station, back to the neon & busy area & enjoyed pon-de-queijo at Mariposa, a little van.
