When I was 22 I decided to leave and I came back when I was 32. I lived in Malaga ( Spain ) for some years, then Florence, then onboard cruise ships, then Malaga again, Berlin, and finally decided to come back to Venice and started my own business - I am a freelance tour leader since 2014 and I wouldn't live anywhere else now, I love my city and my job!

I lived and studied in the Venetian province since I was 7 years old, and the years spent here made me both love and know Venice. After graduating in History, it became a passion for me to share the stories, the myths, the curiosities, and the little-known facts behind the Venetian streets and monuments. Also, I want to make you discover the quiet parts and the hidden gems in the Venetian labyrinth, away from the big crowds - personally, I love to explore the palaces where the aristocracy lived in the past. But in Venice, there's plenty of room for breaks and food, since I'll be happy to show you the best pastry shops, wine bars, and restaurants. I enjoy walking through the city along the bridges, and narrow streets and just enjoying the sights and beauty around me. If you are looking for a day of shopping, some of the best bar recommendations, or restaurants that will give you an authentic taste of Venice, I am your host. We can also explore small islands like Burano, Torcello, and Lido. Also, we can visit the surrounding areas of Padua Treviso, Stra, and Verona.

Hi, I’m Lu

I was born and raised in the northern "Sestiere" (district) of Venice: Cannaregio. Since I was a child I've always been curious about different countries and cultures and I enjoyed studying foreign languages, so I chose to graduate in Literature and Foreign Languages and get a master's degree in Economics of Tourism, Arts and Foreign Languages at the University of Venice - Ca' Foscari. Meanwhile, I had the chance to travel as well: I visited the US and most of the European capitals, but I also spent some weeks in the UK, France, Spain, and Russia to study. My love for my hometown, Venice, has never decreased over the years though so I decided to start studying to become a tour guide. My "mission" is to show travelers my city from a local's perspective, sharing my passion and enthusiasm for my hometown with them, as only a local could do. This is why most of my tours are "off-the-beaten-track". I think that to see the real side of Venice it's necessary to walk far away from the crowds and from the touristy sites and walk through charming and quiet neighborhoods, looking for the hidden corners and peaceful streets of the city, where you can still feel the authenticity and the magic of this place. I love to focus also on local traditions, habits, and lifestyles today and in the past, to let you see how it feels like to be a local in Venice! I'd like travelers to feel at home here as if they were simply having a relaxing walk with a longtime Venetian friend!

I also have a deep love for the local culture, particularly the food, wine, and cheese that define this region.
