Half day in Venice
$118.58 per person
Explore this famed floating city but uncover its secret side. Draw behind the obvious tourist ticks and get to grips with the craftsmanship which Venice is so renowned for, from a famous textile factory, Tessiture Bevilacqua, concealing a thousand years of trade secrets to the church of San Pantalon, a hidden gem boasting the world's largest oil canvas painting. Explore an area that no tourist usually sees, the place the Venetians call home and escape the crowds - the magnificent San Francesco della Vigna area awaits and offers a normal view into everyday life here. And when your feet become a little tired, perhaps it's time for a quick aperitivo before you continue to secret sunset spots and learn about the local legends of Campo dei Mori.
Follow your local guide down tucked away cobbled streets, concealing some of Venice's most-loved buildings. You could get your art fix by visiting a contemporary art space fronted as an amazing villa. From here explore an all-marble church and true hidden gem - Chiesa di S.Maria dei Miracoli, before making your way to a hidden monastery in San Francesco della Vigna area where the locals come to escape the crowds. Continue on towards Ramo Dragan, a completely unknown pier with amazing views over the Rialto bridge and local market, before making your way to the Ghetto area. Here you’ll end up in the early 19th-century neighborhood of Tre Archi and onwards to one of Venice’s local secret sunset spots. Almost too good to share.

Benedetta s experience and contacts within the city made us feel like we were really part of the city almost as a local, as opposed to just tourists. Her food recommendations were top-notch, resulting in dishes that delighted in enjoyment and local flavor. Benedetta s past experience in mask-making gave us a much more in-depth experience during Carnevale, allowing us a unique insight into the masks, costumes, and history. She very patiently and thoroughly answered all of our questions about the history of the city as well as its current interworking. The tour felt more like we were viewing the city with a friend than a tour guide, however, she was excellent at maintaining a balance of friendliness and professionalism. The Murano Glass-making tour that she set up wildly exceeded our expectations. Her explanation of the map of the city and the different districts helped us in our subsequent days to navigate on our own finding new sights she suggested. She moved at a pace that was comfortable for us and checked in so that we were comfortable and happy throughout. We never felt rushed and were very flexible in switching the agenda if we wanted to. Over it was an extremely pleasurable, fun, and highly enjoyable day.
