Begin your day of exploring this historic city at Shukkeien gardens, where your local guide will lead you to a typical Japanese tea house for a tea ceremony and then onto the postcard-perfect bamboo forest and where the Yozakura (Night Cherry blossoms) are best found, come season. From here, Hiroshima castle and all its secret treasures await exploring. Locally known as ‘Carp Castle’ ask your guide for a happy snap with the surrounding koi pond as your memorable backdrop.
