Discover Brooklyn's magic with a local host! Explore hidden gems and vibrant neighborhoods while creating unforgettable memories!
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Get ready to dive headfirst into the heart of Brooklyn on an adventure that's as colorful and dynamic as the borough itself! Meeting at the entrance of WNYC Transmitter Park by Kent Street, you'll be greeted by your awesome local host, who's ready to reveal Brooklyn's coolest spots and hidden gems (and my absolute favorites). So let's go!
Kicking things off at WNYC Transmitter Park, you'll enjoy a peaceful slice of paradise with its lush green spaces and jaw-dropping views of the East River and Manhattan skyline. This is the perfect backdrop to start your day, breathing in the fresh air and snapping a few Insta-worthy pics.
Next, it's time to satisfy your pizza cravings at Paulie Gee's Slice Shop. Brooklyn's pizza scene is legendary, and this place is my absolute favorite. Whether you're a purist who loves a classic margarita or an adventurer who wants to try something with a twist, you'll find a slice that hits the spot. And trust me, the local insights from your host about Brooklyn's pizza wars will make that slice taste even better!
Wander into the Greenpoint Historic District, where charming brownstones and historic buildings tell the story of Brooklyn's past. Your host will sprinkle in stories and fun facts that bring this neighborhood's rich history to life – it's like stepping into a time machine, but way cooler.
Got a sweet tooth? Peter Pan Donuts is your next stop. These donuts are the stuff of legends, and one bite will show you why. Grab a classic glazed or go wild with a red velvet (I would recommend these 10 times over) – either way, you're in for a treat.
Feel the local buzz as you head to McCarren Park, a lively hub of activity. Whether it's a pickup soccer game, a sunbather catching rays, or musicians jamming out, this park is a slice of everyday Brooklyn life.
Next, quench your thirst at Brooklyn Brewery. With a lineup of craft beers that range from light and crisp to dark and robust, there's something for every palate. Your host will guide you through a tasting experience that's as educational as it is delicious.
Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg is up next, where the vibe is trendy, and the streets are buzzing. From quirky boutiques to hipster cafes, every corner of this street has something cool to discover. It's the perfect place to people-watch and soak in the creative energy.
For art lovers, the street art and murals in Williamsburg are a visual feast. Your host will guide you through this open-air gallery, sharing the stories and artists behind the vibrant pieces that decorate the neighborhood.
Hop aboard the East River Ferry for a breezy ride to Brooklyn Bridge Park. This scenic journey offers unbeatable views of the skyline and waterfront – have your camera ready!
Brooklyn Bridge Park is an urban oasis where lush gardens, winding pathways, and breathtaking views of the Brooklyn Bridge await. It's the perfect spot to unwind, stroll around, and maybe even catch a local event or performance.
Pebble Beach, nestled within the park, offers a unique pebbly shoreline and panoramic views that are simply stunning. Kick back, relax, and take in the sights.
DUMBO is your next stop, where cobblestone streets and industrial chic buildings create a unique, artsy atmosphere. This neighborhood is packed with cool galleries, quirky shops, and some seriously good coffee spots – let your host show you the best of the best.
Finally, you'll hit Time Out Market, a food lover's paradise with an array of mouth-watering options to choose from. It's the perfect place to grab a bite and enjoy the vibrant food scene.
Cap off your adventure with a walk over the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. The views of the Manhattan skyline as the sun sets are nothing short of magical – the perfect end to a day of exploration and fun.
Throughout this exciting Brooklyn escapade, your local host will be your personal guide, sharing insider tips and local stories and making sure every moment is unforgettable.
I hope you have a ton of fun seeing some of my favorite places in Brooklyn. And remember to tell me all about it!

Show moreGreg was a great tour guide, not only does he love his city, he knows it like the back of his hand! He showed us all the different areas of NYC, explained what to do in each area i.e where to eat/drink and what to do there. He also took us away from all the tourist areas and showed us places we would have never gone to on our own which was great - we got the real new yorker experience! Greg provided us with some great facts and history about the city and showed us some of the city’s hidden gems. He is a big foodie likes us so was able to give us lots of recommendations for markets and restaurants which we loved! He also gave us some good tips and apps to download for the subway, restaurants, taxis etc. which were helpful for the rest of our trip. We had a great time with Greg, he is very easy to get along with and clearly has a passion for his city – we would gladly recommend him!
