What you’ll do

Whether it's your first time in the city that never sleeps or you’re a return visitor whose in-built New York GPS is a little rusty, you’ll join one of our local New York hosts to get your trip off to a great start!

You’ll choose a neighborhood to explore; then you’re off. Learn how to navigate the tangle of lines on the subway or hail a yellow cab like a local - whichever is your style.

Get the low-down on great places to eat, drink and hang out (things pop up here so fast, only a local could keep up) and ask any of the 101 questions we know you’ve got about exploring the city.

Whether you’d like some advice on seeing iconic sights like the Empire State without wasting your day in a nightmare-ish queue or tip-offs on some great restaurants near Times Square (they do exist, it’s not all tourist traps), our host has got you covered.

Just show up, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Experience outline

  • Choose your pace - a casual stroll or grand tour of the inner city of NYC and its surrounds, asking as many questions as you’d like along the way
  • Visit some of New York’s iconic spots, neighborhoods, and high rises as you map out the city
  • Take the experience at whatever pace suits you - a leisurely stroll or squeezing in as much as possible
  • Get a taste of New York through an inspiring lens and acquaint yourself with the briefest of histories, some general city info, how to get around and where (and when!) you should visit
  • Your host will reveal recommendations for things to do during the rest of your trip, and feel free to ask anything you’d love the inside scoop on!

    Heel vriendelijk en leuke, goede info. Zeer aan te raden! Van manhatten naar brooklyn met de ferry en veel geschiedenis over new york. Very friendly and fun, good information. Highly recommended! From Manhattan to Brooklyn by ferry and lots of history about New York.

    This guided tour was great. Bill showed us what we wanted to see and a lot of things we didn’t know we needed do see. One thing though - didn’t think that there would be as much walking (knew there would be some, but not the 10+ klm), and it was so very cool that he changed his plans and we ended up at World Trade Centre. Muchly appreciated ….
