What you’ll do

So you’ve found yourself in the city that never sleeps? Lucky you! You’ll join one of our local New York hosts as they show you around the NYC that you want to see!

It’s one thing to discover a city as a tourist, but a whole different ball game to get to discover the real personality of the city. So even when your host shows you iconic landmarks like Times Square and the Empire State - although both are pretty hard to miss, it’s not obligatory that you do see them - it will be through their local lens.

If you think your thing is going to be more Brooklyn than brownstones in Manhattan, just let us know and you can head over there to explore a more off-the-beaten-path neighborhood like Williamsburg.

The point is, it’s up to you what you’d like to see and do; just let us know what you’re into and we’ll take care of the rest. Gear yourself up to be in a New York State of Mind.

    Great contact beforehand, Maurita was great at planning the day so we got to see so much! She’s helped us understand the subway & has given us the confidence we needed to be able to explore further alone over the coming days. She checked to make sure everything was going as we expected throughout the day. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide, if you want to cover lots of the city but in a relaxed way then city unscripted is the perfect personalised tour. Thank you Maurita for a fantastic day!

    I greatly enjoyed this service- I gave a four instead of a five only because the host that I had been speaking with was changed on me at the last minute and I was a little uncomfortable with that and was not completely happy with it. However, our new hostess did an excellent job and before our day was over I felt like I had made a new friend. I just did not like the change being made at the last minute.

    Edward was amazing! We booked an 8 hour private tour and got to visit all the sites on our list. Edward was a wealth of knowledge and a native New Yorker who knew the secret ins and outs of the city. With him as our guide we traveled via subway and bus and had a fantastic time.
