Hi, I’m Alex

Kyoto
5.0 (208)

I’m Alex Before ending up in Japan, many years back, I had a nomad life across several Asian countries for many years as well. I spent most of that time in India, where among other activities I had my first experiences as a tour guide. There I also met my wife, and when the relationship got more serious we decided to settle down and have a more stable life, we chose Japan where she is from. Since then I had many personal experiences in this country in different fields such as human relations, jobs in different sectors, trips, bizarre situations, etc, experiences that I always like to share, together with some knowledge about aspects of the culture that I studied for years, just for the sake of getting knowledge without thinking that I would do this activity later on. By the way, I appreciate a lot the human factor, and besides having a responsibility I enjoy a lot just meeting and being with new people. In other words; I love this job, I love the culture I show, and I love human communication in itself. Let’s meet and spend time together so I can show you the best of this city, the cultural capital of Japan

Hi, I’m Alfred

Hong Kong
5.0 (157)

I specialize in private walking tours that balance Hong Kong’s well-known highlights with quieter neighborhoods, hidden corners, and everyday local life. One of the things I value most is efficiency without pressure. By making smart use of Hong Kong’s exceptionally clean and reliable public transportation, especially the MTR, I help guests see a great deal of the city comfortably without rushing or unnecessary detours. Many visitors are pleasantly surprised by how much they can experience in a short time while still feeling relaxed and well cared for. My approach to guiding is calm, flexible, and attentive. I offer light but meaningful cultural insight, sharing observations about how Hong Kong has evolved, how people live and work today, and how tradition and modern life coexist in this dynamic city. Whether we are exploring historic streets, modern districts, markets, or scenic viewpoints, I adapt the pace and focus to suit each guest’s interests and energy level. Outside of guiding, I enjoy spending time with friends over fresh seafood as well as hiking and cycling in Hong Kong’s green spaces. We like a walking tour and although my other half wanted to cut it short and go shopping (again), I think a walking tour with a well informed guide is a great way of getting a feel for a city. Emma didn't disappoint. Not sure where I goth the impression that Melbourne retained a lot of its colonial past, it isn't that, instead we found a modern and vibrant city with less of its past preserved than you might expect. We thought Emma was great and gave us a great foundation for more exploring during our stay. The Queen Victoria Market is a must, especially the food market.
