What you’ll do

Just a 38-minute train ride outside of Barcelona is the charming, historic city of Girona. Although small (you could explore it in a day, hooray!) don't underestimate just how much of a punch this charming little place can pack.

It'll feel like you stepped back 2000 years in time as you wander old paved stone streets and up winding staircases, discovering the old Jewish Quarter, marveling at ancient and Gothic churches, or visiting the Girona History Museum.

Stroll along the River Onyar with your host, see the city’s iconic colorful houses and discover the ancient Roman and Moorish architecture which is still standing today. Or perhaps you would like to take a (well-deserved) timeout at the Arabic baths? From Old Town to newer quarters, Girona is full of treasures waiting to be discovered.

    My family and I had a great time on this tour with Jonathan. We have done many different city walking tours and this one was more like ‘walking around with a local friend’ than a specific scheduled tour. Johnathan shared a lot of information of different architecture, restaurants, and back alley ways that we would have likely not ventured down on our own (not due to safety, but because we would have likely never found them!). Thanks a lot for the great tour and for making our time in Barcelona a memorable one.
