Lisa was lovely. Lisa was very communicative over WhatsApp before our tour. The tour was for myself and my young teenage daughter. She met us in our hotel lobby could not have been easier. We were both extremely jetlagged. Lisa took that in stride. Wish we had more time in Madrid, I would book Lisa again when we were feeling better. She will cater to whatever you would like, knew how to take the perfect picture new the secret spots and was very lovely to be around. She told us to WhatsApp her with any questions we had while in town she will be lovely with your teen’s. Kids are even if you’re an older couple all around great guide couldn’t recommend more.

What you’ll do

You’ll join one of our local Madrid hosts to explore the barrio of La Latina, a neighborhood known for its diversity, an atmosphere of contrasts, and lively personality - which, in a city as vibrant as Madrid is saying something.

Amongst the narrow lanes and medieval streets - the area is actually built on an ancient Islamic fort - are more tapas bars and cantinas than anyone could ever hope for.

You’d be very wrong if you think you’d visit this area and not end up in a tapas bar, sipping an ice-cold mojito or caña (the local measure of beer) with some nibbles at some point.

But of course, there’s more to this character-packed district, and your host can’t wait to share with you the bustling El Rasto flea market (reason enough to time your visit on a Sunday), historic landmarks like San Pedro El Viejo Church, Madrid’s second oldest church which dates back to the 11th century, and the Mercado de la Cebada, a 138-year-old market which has turned from a farmers’ market to a mural splashed hip(ster) venue for clothing, art, and food.
