Hi, I’m Ernesto, a proud local host in Mexico City. I’m deeply passionate about local and national history, especially political history, as well as music, architecture, pop culture, and Mexican food. What I love most about this city is its incredible mix of ancient roots and modern life, the beauty of its architecture, and the warmth of its people. I spend much of my time walking through Centro Histórico, searching for hidden corners and stories, and tasting new dishes across different neighborhoods. I know areas like Centro Histórico, Roma, Condesa, Coyoacán, San Ángel, Chimalistac, Juárez, San Rafael, Santa María la Ribera, Azcapotzalco, Tlatelolco, and La Villa very well, and I enjoy sharing their history and character with visitors.

A wonderful way to start a tour and visit in Mexico City. Ernesto was very attentive to things that are especially interesting to us. I highly recommend this guide and tour.

The tour was our introduction to Mexico City historical district. We walked the area for several hours and learned so much history. Our guide Ernesto Gil spoke excellent English. He was very personable, smart and had great knowledge of the history, politics and culture. We enjoyed our time with him very much!

The experience is all about the guide. Ernesto was super. He suggested an itinerary that included the sights I wanted to see especially in the Centro Historico district. He is very knowledgeable and provided a vast amount of history. He answered all our questions and more. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Ernesto.
