Mirko was a man of many life experiences and stories. This made it easy to relate and a joy to spend a couple hours with. He was like a friend we hadn’t seen in a while, but spent no time catching up. To all those that are not requesting Mirko, I question their decision making. HE’S SUPREME!

After taking a tour with City Unscripted in Naples, we decided to go with them again in Bolonga. I liked that they asked questions in advance about what we wanted and built the tour around our answers. We requested a food tour for Bolonga, a city famous for its food but also requested to learn about the city, its history, culture and neighborhoods. Our schedule was only free for a tour on a Sunday which limited our food options but our guide Lorenza adjusted and made sure that we got to sample the foods we wanted to try and some others we did not previously know about. They were all delicious. Because there were fewer food options open on a Sunday we shifted the tour to focus more on the city and its culture. Lorenza did a great job of showing us around and giving us a sense of the city and how the people of Bolonga are different from those in other cities. She also showed us some churches and monuments and pointed out how some of them were created centuries ago to make subtle statements of defiance toward the Pope that many had in the university town of Bolonga. She also showed us the world's largest sundial in the floor of a church. I would have never understood what it was on my own. We really came away with an understanding of the city in a way that we could not have on our own and probably not with a larger group tour.

Antonia was amazing. She knew a lot of history about the city and was able to show us the local market and provide amazing tastings.

It is obvious that Mirko loves his city and enjoys sharing it with others. We appreciated the small group experience and enjoyed dinner at a restaurant where the menu featured fresh ingredients and local specialties.
