I had never been to Belgium, or any French/Dutch speaking country. I decided to take the Eurostar from London, and spend six hours in Brussels, so I wanted to ensure I could see as much as possible with someone knowledgeable during that time. A private guide was a great way to ensure this. After booking, I received a short survey to share my goals and become matched with a guide. I was introduced to Lawrence over email and we exchanged a message or two prior to my arrival. I sent her my WhatsApp information so we could communicate upon my arrival, and it was extremely easy to meet up as she sent me a photo of exactly where to be, and when. We hit all the places I requested, and she filled in the rest of the time with recommendations!

This is an excellent tour to spend a few hours to see all the prime sites in Brussels. Laurence was an amazing guide. She is from the area and teaches history. She made everything we saw come to life. Not just dates but details of the architecture and people. She was open to any stops for chocolate, waffles, or fries! We saw all the right places to understand Brussels history and where it is today with a melting pot of cultures and people. Excellent Tour!

The history that brought brussels to life... How Lawrence described every detail of the building in a story of how the building exists today.... what it was before. ....And how things changed through time. I'm a fan of storytelling, and she did a fantastic job.

Hi, I’m Sean

Brussels

In 2022, I decided to come out from behind the computer screen to train as a tour guide. I finished my course in 2024 and I now hold the Flanders Tourism tour guide badge. I see myself as an all-rounder but my main interests are history and architecture, and if you are looking for a green oasis in the city, I can be of assistance there too. They say that 'a picture is worth a thousand words.' I believe that facts and figures are more relevant when explained in the context of your surroundings and what you are seeing in the present moment. That is why I try to make my tours as informative and engaging as possible by incorporating plenty of visual references. The city’s past has made Brussels what it is today: a multicultural society. There’s something here for everyone. So, let me show you my Brussels, and I will help you discover yours. I speak English, French, German and Dutch.
