Hello there! I'm Asefeh, a local host in Brussels. I know the city inside out, from the Center of Brussels to Rogier, Shaerbeek, the European Quarter, and Saint Gilles. I absolutely love this city - it's the second international city in the world and the capital of Europe! It's a melting pot of different cultures and languages, making it special. I especially enjoy walking in the historical parts of the city and discovering new places. I'm always excited to meet new people, learn about their cultures, and try their traditional food. As an art student, I know quite a bit about Belgian artists and art nouveau architecture - I lived with an architect (my partner) for over 10 years, so I know the most important buildings in the city. And, of course, I know the best places to eat the most delicious and unique foods Brussels offers!

Show moreOur guide Asehfeh, was amazing! So warm, welcoming and knowledgeable! We saw things and details I know we wouldn’t have any other way! The small details that even bigger group tours would have brushed over or missed completely made everything about this experience worth every penny and more. We loved all the history, and the ability to linger longer at items that interested us and the ability to move quickly when needed. If I could give 10 stars I would!

In 2022, I decided to come out from behind the computer screen to train as a tour guide. I finished my course in 2024 and I now hold the Flanders Tourism tour guide badge. I see myself as an all-rounder but my main interests are history and architecture, and if you are looking for a green oasis in the city, I can be of assistance there too. They say that 'a picture is worth a thousand words.' I believe that facts and figures are more relevant when explained in the context of your surroundings and what you are seeing in the present moment. That is why I try to make my tours as informative and engaging as possible by incorporating plenty of visual references. The city’s past has made Brussels what it is today: a multicultural society. There’s something here for everyone. So, let me show you my Brussels, and I will help you discover yours. I speak English, French, German and Dutch.
I make Brussels' history and architecture engaging with vivid storytelling, visual references, and hidden green spaces, ensuring every experience is immersive and insightful.
After years in IT, I swapped my computer screen for the streets of Brussels and now love bringing the city’s history and architecture to life through visual storytelling.

I know neighborhoods like Saint Gilles, Le Centre, Ixelles, Saint Josse, and Uccle like the back of my hand. With a background in the city's bars and restaurants, I've uncovered all the hotspots for wining, dining, and just kicking back with friends. Brussels isn't just a city; it's a way of life, and I'm here to share its wonders with you. Whether you're a seasoned local or a curious traveler, let's dive into the heart of Brussels together and discover what makes this place so special. See you around!

I’ve called Brussels home for many years, and what I love most is its cosmopolitan vibe—there’s always something new to discover around every corner. You’ll often find me wandering the city centre, soaking up the history in its streets and buildings, or diving into a new art exhibition or concert. I know neighbourhoods like Marolles, Ixelles, St Gilles, and Schaerbeek like the back of my hand. With a passion for local history, I’ve spent hours in archives and libraries uncovering the stories that shaped Brussels—and I’ve picked up plenty of modern anecdotes along the way! Whether it’s the best local museum, a hidden record store, or an artisanal brewery, I’d love to share my Brussels with you.
