A full day in Edinburgh, you lucky thing! Reminiscent of an old tapestry, the highland capital is abundant with history (that every barman can tell you about), full of folklore and perches seamlessly atop the crags of its natural landscape.

You’ll follow your Edinburgh host through the city’s antique streets, absorbing every ounce of its rich heritage.

Perhaps you’d like to see some of the city’s famous attractions, like Edinburgh Castle, the Scott Monument or walk the Royal Mile before heading to a cosy pub for a wee dram or two with your host? For a stunning view of Old Town, why not climb Arthur’s Seat?

With your host by your side, you’ll be able to tackle the city as a local might, falling into (or out of) pubs, visiting markets, frequenting bookstores and navigating the most obscure crooks of the oldest neighbourhoods.

Like a good book, you’ll want to discover this charming city over and over again!

Wonderful Tour of Edinburgh

Sarah was prompt in meeting us at our flat and once introductions were complete the information started flowing. She took care in making sure she addressed our list of items we wanted to see and hear about. She provided suggestions of restaurants and other activities to do with our time in Edinburgh. Sarah is very knowledgeable about Edinburgh and Scotland's history. She was also available to answer several questions we had during the rest of our stay on Edinburgh.

Edinburgh Tour

This tour exceeded any expectations I had. Sarah knew so much history of the city and knew all the places to go for a true Edinburgh experience. She was so personable and nice that the day literally flew by. The highlight of the day was the breathtaking view of the city that she showed us near one of the attractions. If I was to book again I would definitely request Sarah, she did an exemplary job!

Outstanding Day with a local guide!

We had an outstanding half day tour with Michaela. We had never been to Edinburgh before and wanted the chance to take in some local history and see some sights off of the beaten path. We met Michaela after our tour of Edinburgh Castle. We were impressed with her knowledge of the city. She let us take the lead with anything that we wanted to see and do during the afternoon. She was able to show us the best places for souvenirs and the best places for whiskey tasting. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing afternoon with an excellent guide. Thanks so much!!
