Enjoy Tokyo with kids!!

 Enjoy Tokyo with kids!

Hello! I'm Miyoko. I'm raising my child in the heart of Tokyo and know plenty of great places for outings with kids. I've lived in Tokyo for about 20 years now, and my daughter is 8 years old this year.

I am originally from the Tohoku region (northern part of Japan), but Tokyo still excites and delights me! However, I've realized that experiencing Tokyo before and after having a child is entirely different. The ideal spots also vary depending on the child's age. I've made my fair share of mistakes along the way... I also noticed that there was very little really useful information in English.

Since recognizing this, I've been sharing information about kid-friendly outings in English and offering stroller rentals to families visiting Japan from abroad to those in need, to help them enjoy Japan with fewer mishaps. (I'm thrilled to say I've had wonderful encounters with over 200 families through stroller rentals)

Leveraging my experiences going out with my daughter, I want to share the best ways to explore Tokyo!

Asakusa

Asakusa

If you're visiting Japan for the first time, I highly recommend starting your journey in Asakusa. It's like a condensed version of Japan's rich traditional culture and atmosphere. With its majestic Senso-ji Temple, the imposing Thunder Gate with its giant lantern, and a bustling shopping street that's lively all year round, Asakusa is a delightful blend of old-world charm and traditional vibes.

Plus, it's the perfect opportunity to experience wearing a kimono. Make sure to create unforgettable family memories in this amazing city!

Odaiba

Odaiba

If you're looking to spend a unique day with your kids, Odaiba is a must-visit destination! Situated in the middle of Tokyo Bay, Odaiba is like an island packed with attractions tailored for families with children. There are various hidden spots to play around, catering to children of different ages and interests.

Particularly, one place I'd like to recommend, though I hesitate to say it loudly, is the Unko Museum! Well, only if you're not too serious or strict, that is.

Shibuya, Harajuku

Shibuya, Harajuku

Are your kids into Pokémon, Super Mario, or One Piece? If they do, they might love the Shibuya-Harajuku area!  Shibuya, bustling with cutting-edge pop culture, is a hub of creativity and energy.
You can explore places like the Pokémon Center, where you'll find special designs exclusive to this location, and even dine with robots!

It's a Tokyo experience like no other!
