It felt like seeing the city with a friend!
Kenta did SUCH a great job planning our tour today! We were feeling a bit overwhelmed at the thought of trying to navigate so many places on our trip to Japan, so we decided to hire private tours in the major cities we are visiting for the first days. No regrets on this decision whatsoever! Kenya was very relaxed and easy to talk to. He showed us some amazing highlights that were more off the beaten path, unique and no crowded at all! He told us some amazing history and really helped lay the ground work for our trip so we can see what we’d like to do for the rest of our trip. He also gave us some really amazing food recommendations as well. We’re ready to explore more of the city now! Thank you Kenta!

Fumiko was absolutely amazing, and really listened to our interests. She showed us several places that we did go back to, or would have gone back to if we had time! She was also very communicative and informative, and had so much patience for our many random questions. Fumiko really made the experience special and very tailored to us, which we very much appreciated. My husband and I had a wonderful time with a lot of joyful conversation, and highly recommend Fumiko if anyone wants to find the hidden gems of Osaka!

Max was very informative and helpful.
We enjoyed our private tour of Osaka. Max was very knowledgeable and personable. He contacted me by email and we decided what sites to see. Prior to meet up I texted him on What’s App to get directions to our met up location. He showed us around the various markets and temples. We stopped to snack on takiyaki and matcha pancakes. We took a taxi to the Osaka Castle. We enjoyed the history and cultural lessons. Walked up to the 8th floor observation area. Then took a JR train to Osaka Umeda station, took escalators to top floor to view panoramic Osaka. He then walked us to our hotel! Max was an excellent host and we enjoyed his knowledge of the city.

Half a day in Nagasaki
We went on two different City Unscripted tours in Nagasaki. Both tours were terrific and the guides fantastic (Sho and Armand). Saw areas and ate in restaurants that we would never have found on our own. Well worth the cost!

Tokyo Family Tour with a Local Guide, Private & Tailored to You
We visited Tokyo in January 2025 and booked a private tour with Mari. She was amazing! Super friendly, energetic and knowledgeable. We would not have experienced a fraction of Tokyo in the short time that we had if not for Mari. She was fantastic with the kids and I would highly recommend booking a tour. Armand's passion for what Nagasaki has to offer.
Armand was such an engaging and interesting guide and was committed to making our experience a great one. He was able to quickly pivot to a new plan when a restaurant was unexpectedly closed. He's so knowledgeable about the city and about the food scene and we went to places that we'd never have found on our own!

Finding sights we would have unlikely discovered and insight to local culture. Learning the differences between the different buddism and seeing the temples that contrast. It was nice of the fire department to put on a show as well.

During our visit to Kyoto, we chose to do a private walking tour, and it turned out to be the best decision! Our guide, Toshi, was fantastic—his deep knowledge of the city\'s history and culture really brought the experience to life. He answered all our questions and made sure we enjoyed a perfect balance of cultural insights and historical context as we explored Kyoto. It was the ideal way to wrap up our two-week adventure in Japan. I highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Kyoto!
