The visit to Arashiyama with Hide was the highlight of our trip to Kyoto. Hide with patience and flexibility helped to organise brilliantly the visit according our preferences. Otagi Nenbutsuji and Gjo-ji temples were simply amazing and the restaurant chosen by our guide was delicious. Hide, prepared and knowledgeable, was ready to answer to all our questions and curiosity about Japanese culture and society. My son and him even ended up talking about sport and football... A good insight of the Japanese culture that we would have missed visiting the places just by ourselves. Tour highly recommended

Nick was very nice and easy to talk with, which allows me to instantly break the ice and after a short introduction of ourselves go smoothly into the main topic. He had also prepared various questions, which was very helpful for me to get the whole picture of what he is expecting from this trip to Japan, what he is mainly interested in and what not, plus his main concerns and “worries”. He didn’t already planned a clear itinerary and I was honored he was asking my opinion because I felt we got along well from the very beginning and he was trusting me as an experienced local who could provide him and his family the best advice for this trip. It was a pleasant conversation and I hope Nick will be able to set up a great trip with my help. Of course I’d love to personally show him and his kids around once he is here in Tokyo!
