Get a personalized introduction to Nagoya (and plenty of insider tips and tricks) from your sensei – sorry, knowledgeable local insider. Who needs a map when your host can point out each district from Japan's highest open-air observation deck, the Midland Square skyscraper?
Soak up the spirit of ancient Japan at 700-year-old Osu Kannon Temple, which happens to be right in the middle of the city's famous otaku hub - the Osu neighborhood - packed with stores selling fantastic costumes and gaming goods. And when you're comfortably seated in a backstreet izakaya, ask your host any questions you have between bites of grilled Nagoya cochin, the local specialty chicken!

Having Yoshi san for a walk around of the city was a great decision! He talked about many of the little snippets of info from a locals' perspective. Thank you!!
Show moreAnna was a great guide. she taught me the proper way to show respect in a shrine, gave me a brief understanding of the history of Nagoya Castle. When i said i want to try the Nagoya red bean paste toast, she was v willing to bring me even though it was not part of the itinerary. Her English is great and no communication breakdown throughout the tour. i enjoyed it.
