Sunset drinks, quirky ruin bars and abandoned warehouses
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
We all have our own unique way of enjoying a night out, be it taking in some live music, casually sipping on a craft beer at a quirky pub, or grooving till dawn, and luckily for you, Budapest has it all. So you’ll join one of our local Budapest hosts to see the city after dark, your way.
From late-night wanderings along the Danube, stopping off at dimly lit wine bars to catching some jazz in a cozy basement venue or diving straight into the city’s ruin bar culture when it’s maybe not on its best behavior, your host will show you a side of the city after dark that you’ll love.
Just let us know what you feel like doing, and we’ll try our best to make it happen. All of this being said, we’d recommend starting your experience on Gellért Hill - in true local style, you can head up at sunset with some beers or wine, watch the sunset over the Danube and plot your night-time adventure.

Easily one of the best experiences I've ever had while traveling. Balasz shared so much knowledge and experience about this place and gave us memories that we will never ever forget. 11/10.
Show moreAnge was a very knowledgeable guide that showed us her beloved city of Budapest. She went above and beyond to show us unique places and to accommodate our spur of the moment requests. Our evening ended at the top of a hotel with a drink and a stunning view if lighted Budapest! Thank you Ange!!!
Show moreTour was great and Balazs was very informative and very intelligent. It was great experience.
Show moreThe tour was amazing and totally tailored to my wishes. Seeing Budapest at night with the lights should not be missed. Thank you!
Show moreWe loved our experience in Budapest with Lorinc! We wanted to see parts of the city that we would otherwise miss and he took us to the city park, which was mentioned briefly in our Lonely Planet Guide, so we really would not have considered going. Our kids LOVED the playground there, it really is one of the best playgrounds we've ever been to. And Lorinc was super knowledgeable about the history of Budapest and gave us a lot of context which helped us understand the city much better. It was also super interesting to hear him talk about his life there. We were also so surprised that he spoke fluent Japanese, so we had some chats in Japanese too, so that made us connect with him even more. It was so obvious that see that Lorinc loves Budapest and we really enjoyed spending the morning with him. His recommendations for a secret teahouse and the best restaurant we ate at were priceless! If you visit Budpest, make sure to ask for Lorinc.
Show moreThis was a well-led walk through some of Budapest’s lively neighborhoods. Guide Agnes quickly adapted her plans to match up with my interests, making it a very personalized experience. We sampled food, discussed local art, culture and history, and all in a relaxed way. This is a great way to experience a city for the first time.
