Explore beautiful Edinburgh after dark, guided by your host! From walking along the Royal Mile to mingling with the locals at a bar, it's up to you!
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Hold on to your kilts, because you’re about to join one of our Edinburgh hosts on a night out in Edinburgh!
Whether you’d like to club hop, bar crawl or you’re in for a more low-key night of stargazing at the Royal Observatory, the city caters to all tastes, and luckily so do we.
For an authentic night out, ask your host to take you to the Cowgate, a cozy pocket of the city filled with live music, quirky speakeasies, traditional pubs, and electric clubs.
There is of course The Dome in the fancy George Street for those that enjoy elegant cocktails and a more upmarket atmosphere, as well as the Pink Triangle, where you can dance the night away at one of Edinburgh’s LGBTQ hotspots.
Although the night is entirely up to you, we encourage you to pop into a local pub where you’ll meet eccentric characters, hear some age-restricted jokes and enjoy heartfelt laughter as you’re welcomed with open arms.
Grab a bite to eat on your way home, and try out your best Scottish accent (not too loudly, lest you offend somebody) as you happily march back to your warm bed.

We had a great time with Michael. He is quite knowledgeable about the history of Edinburgh. He led us to some interesting places. He was quite knowledgeable about different gins and whiskeys. He introduced us to some interesting ones. He also gave us great recommendations during the tour and followed up with some others the next day.
Show moreIf you are a gin lover, this is the tour for you and if you are really lucky you will get James as your guide. Once he found out where we were staying he adjusted to meet us at our hotel. We visited 3 great gin pubs and gained so much knowledge about how gin is made, the different blends, why it came to be in Scotland, and also learned a lot of Scottish history and culture along the way. This is a must do tour!!!!
