What travelers think of our Stockholm experiences
What you’ll do
If only all of our pastimes involved coffee and cake. You’ll join one of our local Stockholm hosts to indulge in the local tradition of fika, which just so happens to include both of those things in abundance.
A daily ritual for many locals, fika is all about slowing down, disconnecting (from your phone, not your friends), and savoring a cup of coffee and a sweet treat. We’d recommend you try a cinnamon bun. Or a smörgås (an open sandwich) and some kladdkaka (sticky chocolate cake). Or a slice of almond tart.
Oh, we can’t choose, have them all.
Anyway, your host will show you how to fika like a Stockholmare as you head into a local-loved coffee shop to indulge in this time to chat, reflect on your day and focus on the important things in life - good coffee, good food, and good conversation.
Your host will teach you about the tradition and give you the true meaning behind the local pastime. As a bonus, coffee in Sweden is taken seriously - so you’ll visit a coffee shop where you can taste expertly blended and locally roasted beans, we promise it will be some of the best coffee you’ve ever had!
