An ancient city of Arabic baths, colourful houses and soul-feeding Catalonian cuisine.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Just a 38-minute train ride outside of Barcelona is the charming, historic city of Girona. Although small (you could explore it in a day, hooray!) don't underestimate just how much of a punch this charming little place can pack.
Join one of our local Barcelona hosts on a personalized experience of the city, discovering its rich tapestry of cultures, ancient fortifications, and delicious Catalan cuisine.
It'll feel like you stepped back 2000 years in time as you wander old paved stone streets and up winding staircases, discovering the old Jewish Quarter, marveling at ancient and Gothic churches, or visiting the Girona History Museum.
Stroll along the River Onyar with your host, see the city’s iconic colorful houses and discover the ancient Roman and Moorish architecture which is still standing today. Or perhaps you would like to take a (well-deserved) timeout at the Arabic baths? From Old Town to newer quarters, Girona is full of treasures waiting to be discovered.

Alan was very knowledgeable about the history and the city of Girona itself. He had even taken time to study the various options of routes one can take to reach the cathedral, so that he can provide a less strenuous route for people who may find it difficult to climb the steps. That shows he really cares about providing the best services to the visitors. He also made recommendation and reservations for our lunch and dinner at very good restaurants. We really enjoyed our tour with him and we have no hesitation to recommend him. We ourelves will certainly look for him when we next come back to Baecelona. Thank you Alan. ,
Show moreWe had a great time exploring the city and seeing lots of great things! Stopped for a great lunch and loved all the history she shared. Overall a wonderful experience!
Show moreWe were a little apprehensive about doing this as it is Unscripted (as the the tour suggests), but it ended up being planned out exactly to our tastes. Our guide took us around the El Born area, starting at the market with drinks and croquettes along with other foods to satisfy our Foodie tastes. We walked around El Born learning about the area, the culture and the traditions. We stopped at the original place for Los Pescatidos. We had Catalan dessert and Cava. I was quite impressed with this experience, especially not knowing what we were going to do and see. Would do it again.
Show moreWhat a great way to experience Barcelona - truly the highlights ! The guide was fantastic, knowledgeable, astute, charming and full of stories. While it didn’t include entrance to any of the Gaudi sites - you could fully customize the experience with the exception being that many entrances require advance booking during the holidays - this was a ‘highly recommended’ experience!
