Day trip to charming Girona

Anna was amazing. Even before the tour began, she was proactive in communicating with us and suggesting ideas and things to do. We met her in the morning and explored the Gothic Quarter, Eixample, and several other fascinating spots around Barcelona. She shared rich historical insights in a way that kept all of us, including our kids (ages 9 and 12), fully engaged and entertained. Her friendly and approachable nature made the experience even better. We also got to try some delicious local food along the way, guided by her recommendations. Pau was amazing in understanding our needs and making a Taylor made tour! I was traveling with my mother and my 7 years old twin children, and he managed to merge culture, architecture and gastronomy in the same tour!

Alan was very knowledgeable about the history and the city of Girona itself. He had even taken time to study the various options of routes one can take to reach the cathedral, so that he can provide a less strenuous route for people who may find it difficult to climb the steps. That shows he really cares about providing the best services to the visitors. He also made recommendation and reservations for our lunch and dinner at very good restaurants. Alan’s mastery of Barcelona’s rich and exciting history was evident from the start. In a group of five, it can be easy for one or two people to feel excluded. This was not the case with Alan’s tour - he made sure that each member of the group felt included and he tailed a part of the tour to their specific interests. The group learned so much and we are going to leave Barcelona with a much deeper appreciation that we otherwise would have, without going on the tour.

My wife and I spent the entire day with Alan in Barcelona. We had an incredible experience. He is a consummate professional. He combines the utmost respect for both of us with a passion and knowledge of such a wide range of topics related to Catalonia and Barcelona that the experience becomes a very personal connection with the area as well as with Alan himself.
