What you’ll do

Waste no time in a cozy capital teeming with must-see landmarks, like a larger-than-life sculpture park, or the Neoclassical Royal Palace in the city center (return at 13:30 to see the changing of the guard). A stone's throw away, see home to the famous artwork The Scream, as you meander along a flower-lined street towards the stage of the National Ballet and the neo-Romanesque Parliament. Had enough of the classics? Head harbor-side to see ferries depart for the scenic Oslo Fjord, snap a pic outside the inspirational Nobel Peace Center, and drop a GPS pin at a popular boat bar before strolling along the Aker Brygge Promenade dotted with angelic sculptures. A fortress fit for a Viking awaits, then pop over to the Opera House for a dose of innovative architecture.

We loved the tour Mary had prepared for us. Places that we would not have found ourselves. It’s easy to find the main sights on your own. We also loved Mary as a tour guide, we had interesting conversations. Informative in a cosy setting, we moved in slow pace, talked, discussed. She also gave us recommendations for later, things that couldn’t fit the time we had. Great thank you for that:)

Marianne was incredibly kind and welcoming-she tailored the tour to what we were interested in and adapted if we wanted to look and or not look at something. She was very open about the city’s history and culture and it was great to experience a new city with someone who knows all of its ins and outs. Would highly recommend!
