Get cozy in a capital famous for a picturesque palace, happy locals and that opera house.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Get ready for a half-day adventure in the cozy capital of Norway, like kicking your half-day off outside the Royal Palace for a peek at the royal guards, before picking a pansy along Karl Johans Gate, where you’ll pass one of Norway’s most prominent theatres and other romantic landmarks. Next, head to the nearby Nobel Peace Center, an arena for involved politics overlooking the harbor, before darting to the Scandanavian architectural pride, the sleek Opera House. Wander off the tourist track to trendy suburb Grünerløkka, intertwined with remnants of industrial Oslo, snug cafés and exploding street art celebrating Norwegian beauty and precision. There, meander past the sparkling Akerselva River, and ask your host where to find the yummiest krumkake in town.

Show moreWe had a wonderful time touring the city of Oslo. So much beautiful architecture and history. So glad we had the individual guide to share details on each monument and museum.
Show moreSheenam, our guide for this tour, helped us understand how Oslo has developed into the vibrant city it is today. We walked all over the city, visiting the most important and popular sites, sampled some street food, and saw the changing of the guard. It was a magical tour-Sheenam thank you so much !!!

Show moreI had the pleasure of touring Oslo with Sheenam, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide! From the moment we met, she made me feel comfortable, even though I was a little nervous about navigating a new city on my own. She was patient, kind, and incredibly helpful, making sure I never felt rushed while still covering an impressive number of sights. In just four hours, Sheenam guided me through Oslo’s highlights, including the Central Station, Deichman Library, Opera House, Munch Museum, She Lies floating sculpture, Bjørvika waterfront, and Vigeland Sculpture Park. Along the way, she shared fascinating insights that deepened my appreciation of each place. She also made sure I experienced local flavors—moose hotdogs and burgers, creamy fish soup, and Ringnes beer—all of which I loved! Even better, she gave me clear directions for landmarks we didn’t have time to visit, like the Royal Palace, Stortinget, and Oslo Cathedral. What impressed me most was how approachable and attentive she was. As someone who’s directionally challenged, I could have easily felt overwhelmed, but with her guidance everything was seamless and stress-free. She balanced being informative with giving me space to simply enjoy the city. She even went above and beyond—giving me detailed instructions for navigating Oslo’s public transport, and personally taking me to a burger spot a bit out of the way so I wouldn’t miss the moose burger I’d been hoping to try. If you’re visiting Oslo, I can’t recommend Sheenam enough. She’s knowledgeable, thoughtful, and considerate—and she makes the whole experience feel like exploring the city with a friend. I left with wonderful memories of Oslo, and that’s largely thanks to her!
