Get cozy in a capital famous for a picturesque palace, happy locals and that opera house.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
Get ready for a half-day adventure in the cozy capital of Norway, like kicking your half-day off outside the Royal Palace for a peek at the royal guards, before picking a pansy along Karl Johans Gate, where you’ll pass one of Norway’s most prominent theatres and other romantic landmarks. Next, head to the nearby Nobel Peace Center, an arena for involved politics overlooking the harbor, before darting to the Scandanavian architectural pride, the sleek Opera House. Wander off the tourist track to trendy suburb Grünerløkka, intertwined with remnants of industrial Oslo, snug cafés and exploding street art celebrating Norwegian beauty and precision. There, meander past the sparkling Akerselva River, and ask your host where to find the yummiest krumkake in town.

A lot of walking, but that was our choice. Marie reached out and asked what our goals were before the tour and even during the tour gave us options of next steps and choices. We saw the opera house, the palace, the main square and the fortress. A lot of history and knowledge.
Show moreNeil was very personable and adapted the tour to meet our needs. He was very easy going, but was diligent about showing us as much of the historical sites as time allowed. I would highly recommend Neil as a guide.

Show moreIt was a wonderful 4 hour walking tour with Sheenna. We were able to cover a lot of ground, and learning a lot of important information about the city of Oslo. Highly recommended.
Show moreMaria was fabulous! She catered our experience specifically to our interests which was wonderful. She even took the time to make a list of places for us to go after our time with her. She is knowledgable about Oslo and Norway and clearly enjoys being a tour guide!
