Hokkaidō’s mountains, Ōdōri Park, kaisen don and a Sapporo beer or two.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
If Japan’s cities were family members, Sapporo would be the cool cousin. Known for its thrilling winter sports, spectacular Hoheikyo hot springs, year-round Ōdōri Park festivals, and its iconic beer brand, Sapporo is an city that demands attention. With a local host, you’ll tick off 15 of the city’s must-sees with the ease of a ski jumper zooming down the famous Okura-yama slope. Try fresh uni (sea urchin) at the traditional Nijo Market, explore cultural hub Nakajima Park next to the Toyohira River, and visit the Sapporo Beer Museum to sample a range of delicious brews. In tranquil Maruyama Park, see 150-year-old Hokkaidō Shrine before heading to your local insider’s favorite izakaya, where the zangi chicken is extra crispy.

Our guide, Kenta, is knowledgeable, personable, and professional. He showed us Gion District and Kenninji Temple in a two-hour tour. Because of my bad knees, he met us at our hotel. He grew up in the United States, communicating in English is not a problem at all. Highly recommend him!
Show moreVery very kind and courteous Thank you!
Show moreThe tour guide was considerate by providing his Whatsapp for contact in case I couldn’t find him… which I did initially because I was on the wrong side of the station. Nonetheless, it was a nice leisurely 6 hours. Took me to the places that I had not been to yet. I am hitting up the spots he recommended me today before I head home to LA tomorrow. Great job!
Show moreHad a blast touring Sapporo with Zarina! She showed us some of the structures in the city center and told us places to shop, took us to Shiroi Kobito Park (very very nice place where she treated us for hot choco), and we had the best soup curry at Picante then dropped us off at the tv tower. just be reminded that food and train tickets are not included in this tour so you need to pay for your guide. also dinner would take up time from the 4- hour tour so maybe you can skip that . but of course tour can be customized to your liking
Show moreZarina is a very good tour guide. She was detailed and had all the information needed for the short tour plan. She has also a lot of good activities for the kids which makes her an excellent choice for family with kids.
Show moreVery nice tour. Enjoyed an overview of Sapporo - loved the local perspective. Loved starting, with the ski slope views over the city. Had a lovely mix of activities.
