What you’ll do

Your host will share their favorite family-friendly spots in Osaka, and they’ll lead the way, too, getting you familiar with the city’s layout and transport systems. You could enjoy beloved favorites like Osaka Aquarium, one of the largest in the world and one of very few to have whale sharks, or hidden jewels well off the beaten path like Banpaku Park, a 1970s showground littered with weird and wonderful relics.

We booked the Osaka Family Day Tour and met Khalid El Barraq at our hotel foyer as our tour guide. WOW Khalid put together a custom itinerary that catered to my love of history and culture and also managed to maintain the attention span of my 11yr old son with his love of food anime and excitement! With Khalid’s knowledge of Osaka and it’s complex mazes of trains and subways we got to see everything and more in Osaka. We ate amazing food learnt some history travelled by boat foot and train did some shopping and saw a view of Osaka from the 2nd tallest building in Japan. Teaching us about Japans culture and customs along the way. Then like a true gentleman walked us to our hotel door. We cannot thank him enough for making our stay in Osaka truly memorable. If you can book Khalid….your in for a great day around Osaka ….

With a very indecisive 11yo and 1 super energetic 8yo, doing guided tours can be a challenge. Alex almost immediately put that at ease with his warm and welcoming personality. He was very accomodating of the children’s needs and had some great idea’s for things to do with them that they enjoyed very much. That alone was more than enough, however his knowledge of the area and its culture made for some very interesting conversation for the adults as well. It was an absolute pleasure and I highly recommend Alex as a guide.
