Hi, I’m Kyoto, your local host here in Nara. I’ve lived here for many years and truly love this peaceful city, especially Umamikyuryou Kouen Park with its beautiful riverside scenery that changes with every season. You can often find me reading a good book at a riverside café or taking a quiet walk through the park. I know the local community well, from the mayor of Kawaichou to many families in my neighborhood, and I enjoy sharing their stories and traditions. I’m passionate about showing guests both Nara’s famous sights and its hidden treasures, including charming cafés and traditional Shinto shrine festivals. I look forward to welcoming you and sharing the warmth and beauty of Nara with you.

I enjoy walking through peaceful streets, feeding the friendly wild deer, and capturing photos of the stunning temples and shrines that embody the Japanese spirit. Nara is perfect for those who love calm walks, nature, and especially cherry blossoms in spring. I know the neighborhoods, hidden gems, and local spots inside out. As a Shika expert for deer, a tea lover, a temple guide, and a nature enthusiast, I love helping visitors experience the beauty, history, and serene atmosphere of Nara like a true local.
I love my city because it’s full of history and nature, and I especially enjoy visiting Todaiji Temple and meeting the friendly deer in Nara Park. I spend my mornings exploring old temples and taking quiet photos, and I love relaxing at small cafés in Nara-machi, with its charming streets, old houses, and little shops. I love sharing the hidden gems of Nara and Osaka with visitors. I know Nara inside out from Todaiji and Kasuga-taisha to Koufukuji, Horyuji, and Yakushiji. I enjoy visiting temples to pray and exploring quiet corners of the city. I also know Osaka like the back of my hand, especially Namba, Shinsekai, and Nishinari, where I can take you to karaoke bars that usually only locals can enter. I love showing neighborhoods off the beaten path and sharing stories that make the city come alive. Fun, friendly, and curious, I make every tour both entertaining and memorable.
