What you’ll do

With a half-day to explore Hiroshima, why not begin with a ferry ride to Miyajima Island, where you’ll be able to visit the famed Itsukushima Shrine and the oldest temple in Miyajima, Daisho-in, built by one of Japan’s most famous monks. Also offering great views of the Seto Inland Sea, be sure to arrive with a fully charged camera. Cherry blossoms in spring and maple leaves in autumn also add to the magic of this famed temple site well worth exploring. Gallery Miyazato serves up traditional Japanese sweet sets that include the ultimate crowd-pleasers: Matcha and the famous Momiji Manju, perfect for an afternoon rest and a refuel in the inner garden.

Kaku did great job in picking up different Locations where we could experience Hiroshimas local life. The four hours tour was enough to dive a bit in and see some nice neighbourhoods and shops. I can super recommend the tour with Kaku!

Kaku was very informative and showed us areas we would not have found by ourselves

Kaku was very warm and welcoming and ensured the tour met our needs. It was our first time and I really wanted my daughter to get a good understanding of what happened at Hiroshima. Kaku was able to enhance what we saw at museums and significant sights. He took us to a great place for lunch and we had fun playing at the Origami centre finishing it off with all of us taking the slide down. Kaku was also very interested in us/Australia and we had a lovely time exchanging differences. I would certainly reccommend him to anyone.

Great effort from him. He made sure we saw everything we could see with the limited time we had (our cruise arrived late due to weather).
