What you’ll do

With a half-day to explore Hiroshima, why not begin with a ferry ride to Miyajima Island, where you’ll be able to visit the famed Itsukushima Shrine and the oldest temple in Miyajima, Daisho-in, built by one of Japan’s most famous monks. Also offering great views of the Seto Inland Sea, be sure to arrive with a fully charged camera. Gallery Miyazato serves up traditional Japanese sweet sets that include the ultimate crowd-pleasers: Matcha and the famous Momiji Manju, perfect for an afternoon rest and a refuel in the inner garden.

    Excellent tour. Our guide, Tomoyuki, was very fun and pleasant. We really enjoyed our time with him. He did everything we wanted at our pace. Miyajima was beautiful and a highlight was the Miyajima Ropeway. I liked that we didn’t feel rushed and have to hurry along. Tomoyuki spoke very good English so communication was no problem and it was fun talking with him. Great day, highly recommended!
