I was so glad we chose to book a tour guide for our day trip to Hiroshima. Noz was fantastic. Knowledgeable, friendly, funny and easy going. He took us to all of the must-sees in Hiroshima, including lunch at an Okinimiyaki place which was amazing. Our day was emotional, informative and very enjoyable. Thank you Noz.

We did a Hiroshima tour with Ami and she was wonderful! She took us through Peace Memorial Park, Peace Memorial Museum, Gokoku Shrine, and Hiroshima, Castle. She was very tactful and even taught us a lot - even how to make crane origami. Knowing we were foodies, she even gave us local lunch recommendations for us to go to after the tour.

Ken was friendly and knowledgeable and went out of his way to customise our 4hr tour. It was very fast paced so wouldn't suit those with mobility issues. Need our IC card and bring cash to pay for guide's fares. Worthwhile tour for time poor travellers.

Ken was thoughtful about planning a wonderful day for us and helping us continue on without him for the hours after our tour to get the most out of Hiroshima.

Ken was a super host, he adapted our tour and showed us everything we wanted to see in Hiroshima. Ken was very knowledgeable and told us lots of things we would never have known. He engaged with our children and they liked asking him questions.

What you’ll do

With a half-day to explore Hiroshima, why not begin with a ferry ride to Miyajima Island, where you’ll be able to visit the famed Itsukushima Shrine and the oldest temple in Miyajima, Daisho-in, built by one of Japan’s most famous monks. Also offering great views of the Seto Inland Sea, be sure to arrive with a fully charged camera. Cherry blossoms in spring and maple leaves in autumn also add to the magic of this famed temple site well worth exploring. Gallery Miyazato serves up traditional Japanese sweet sets that include the ultimate crowd-pleasers: Matcha and the famous Momiji Manju, perfect for an afternoon rest and a refuel in the inner garden.
