If you are visiting Naples, I cannot recommend a walking tour with Roberto highly enough. His knowledge, personality, and passion for Naples make the city come alive in a way that goes far beyond a normal tour. But for me, there is one absolute requirement: the tour of Naples must — absolutely must — include a tasting journey through the incredible food culture of the city. Naples is not just seen, it is tasted. Roberto should guide you through at least seven different food experiences that capture the soul of Naples — from authentic pizza, fresh mozzarella, and fried street food, to pastries, espresso, seafood specialties, and hidden local favorites. The food is not an extra part of Naples — it IS Naples. Walking the streets with Roberto while tasting the city along the way creates an unforgettable experience full of history, culture, warmth, and joy. Roberto was an amazing guide who helped us see the city through local’s eyes.

Just in Naples for a day off our cruise ship. So glad we had this private tour with Nunzia who created a great walking tour based our interests. We saw sights and learned so much that we never would have without her. Not to mention she’s simply one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Highly recommend!

Our guide Daniela was great. She was very knowledgeable and pleasant company. She shared a custom itinerary with us days in advance and asked for our input. We were able to proceed at our own pace and we saw everything we wanted to see. Highly recommended.

Daniella was a great guide. She is very knowledgeable not only of the history of Naples but also of the current events going on in the city and country. We appreciated that she accommodated my needs and found places to sit when I started to feel tired. It was also nice to get her recommendations for places to eat and sites we should visit. She is very personable and easy to talk to. Overall it was a great tour and we highly recommend her.

What you’ll do

Get a three-hour crash course in Naples, from navigating the old streets to learning the distinct character of each district (and squeezing in some sightseeing along the way!). Stroll under the arch of Alba Gate towards the old city of Naples, where you’ll see one of the city’s most famous Neapolitan pizzerias, Sorbillo, and stately buildings belonging to the 800-year-old University of Naples Federico II, one of the oldest in the world. Get a perfect snapshot of Neapolitan life on Via Toledo, a hive of Italian boutiques and popular street food, and enter Toledo Metro, one of Europe’s most famous (and beautiful) metro stations. Not feeling like an honorary local yet? After a photo opportunity with the backdrop of Mount Vesuvius and the island of Capri, you certainly will!
