An underground Labyrinth of caves, outdoor thermal baths and Hungarian sweet treats.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
You'll experience the warm and welcoming Hungarian way of family life with your local host and your clan by your side as you explore beautiful Budapest - a city known for its hospitality.
You may be worried about how long attractions like the Hungarian Parliament Building will hold the attention of the kids before they beg to go somewhere else but fear not - there are scores of attractions around town that will keep everyone happy.
There are interactive museums to captivate young minds but if you are looking for something a little more outdoorsy, you could always grab bikes and cycle around Margaret Island, hike up Gellért Hill, or explore Buda Castle and its underground Labyrinth of caves under Buda Castle - always a hit with the kids (and adults!).
And if little legs get tired you can always visit a park or splash around in one of the city’s outdoor baths. When tummies start rumbling, your host will be able to recommend the best family-friendly spots for you to head to for the tribe to refuel. However, you choose to spend your day, you'll get to know the family-friendly side of Budapest with your host.

It was so fun and educational to tour Pest with Angie. She made history come alive for us! We would highly recommend her.
Show moreWe had a wonderful tour with a very professional and experienced guide. Balazs our guide did an excellent job of showing us his city. We visited many of the main sights and gained a good insight and feel of this very beautiful city.
Show moreA busy morning but very informative and we packed in many important & interesting sights of wonderful Budapest. The combination of walking, tram & train was great as we got to experience many areas around the city. We had a great morning and highly recommend Balazs as a guide .... especially to history buffs
Show moreEvery place we visited had so much history and our tour guide, Richard, shared such valuable information about each one. It was a great experience to be guided by a local and we highly recommend this walking tour to learn about the highlights so you can then explore based on your interests. The visit to the market and the Parliament were my favorites.
Show moreI had booked a short tour on Buddapest's Jewish and Ottoman culture with City Unscripted and I was impressed with the way the team handled this tour. They were very professional and quick to respond. The host they had selected for me, Krisztián, was very informative, friendly and helpful. He had planned the trip very well and in detail. He even managed to cover some tour spots which most of the local guides do not even mention e.g. Gül Baba's tomb, a short but steep walk from the Margaret Bridge (thanks for the work out Krisztián!). He also recommended a few very nice local eateries/restaurants. This tour really set the tone for my travels thereon. Many thanks to the team of City Unscripted and the host Krisztián.
Show moreThis was our first time in Budapest, so we hired a guide for our first full day, deciding to concentrate on the Pest side with a 6hr guided walk..a very good decision as it gave a good orientation of the city and invaluable local knowledge.
