We did a three-hour Hidden Gems walking tour in Bologna with our guide, Cristiano, and it was excellent. We explored all around the city and learned so much about the history, architecture, and culture of Bologna. Cristiano did a fantastic job bringing the city to life, including showing us great historical pictures of the many towers that once stood throughout Bologna, which really helped us visualize how different the city looked centuries ago.
What we appreciated most was that this wasn’t just a surface-level tour. We walked away with a much deeper understanding of the city and also discovered places, shops, and areas we absolutely would have missed on our own — including several we went back to later. Cristiano was knowledgeable, engaging, and easy to spend time with. A great guide, and we would definitely tour with him again. Much better than a large group tour!

Within 4 hours we covered different aspects of the city, from historial shrine, street scapes, witness people queling up for buy their favorate snacks, shopping streets with stunning waterfalls, nice city park with lakes and a lovely Japanese gardens, and few traditional residential streets. Experiencing travel on the underground train system to various sections of the city and as well as walking. A very nice experience!
Shin is by far the best tour guide I have had on this app to date. Despite a very short time window we were able to accomplish a lot. He customized the tour for my interests and we were very efficient with getting from place to place. Both of us loving history, we learned a lot from each other. I also enjoyed how empathetic and supportive he was. I was having some back pain so he took a quick detour into a shopping mall to help me out. He also gave me a lot of advice for navigating the city on my own after the tour. He was very personable and I enjoyed talking with him about not just the city but life in general. Again I could not recommend Shin enough. Were it possible I would give him six out of 5 stars he is that good!
