If you’re visiting Edinburgh, do yourself a favour and book a walking tour with Andre. We came in thinking we knew the city — Castle, Royal Mile, New Town. Andre showed us how much we’d missed. He took us into the Closes, those narrow hidden lanes where unremarkable doorways open into entire worlds, and covered Old Town and New Town with equal depth. He gave us a genuinely wide-ranging perspective on a city that contains far more than its famous landmarks suggest. What set him apart was the storytelling. Warm, funny, deeply enthusiastic — he loves Edinburgh and it shows. Tales of former occupants, rich historical context that never felt like a lecture, hidden spaces you’d never find alone, and photograph spots only a local would know. By the end we had a completely different relationship with the city. Less a place we’d visited, more one we’d begun to actually understand. Highly recommend. You think you know Edinburgh — go with Andre and find out how much you don’t. 10/10

We had a fantastic experience exploring Edinburgh with Cal as our guide. He met us right at our hotel and immediately set the tone with his friendly, energetic personality. His knowledge of the city’s history was impressive, especially his command of specific dates, which made every stop more meaningful and engaging. Cal was also incredibly flexible, adjusting the tour to match our interests and pace (including a stop for coffee) which we really appreciated. We would absolutely recommend Cal to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and personable guide in Edinburgh.”

Edinburgh has a million hidden gems and history that is not easy to find via google. Michael was born and raised in Edinburgh. He was able to share stories of growing up in the city and found the perfect spot to take photos of the castle. He even reached out to a local wool shop to make sure they were open for us to visit. 10 out of 10 for Michael.
