Kyoto in summer is hot and humid, but don’t let that put you off! Temperatures in the months of June, July and August rise to around the 33° celsius mark, with average lows between 19° and 24°. On average, there are also between eight and 11 days of rainfall in the summer months, which does sometimes force visitors indoors for a few hours. But in spite of the humidity and chance of rain, there are a lot of things to do in Kyoto in summer.
