What you'll do
Finding the best, most authentic local cuisine and street food can be a challenge, so your Local Host will help you get acquainted with the street food culture and recommend extraordinary and unusual dishes, taking you to the eateries and street food markets where the locals really eat.
Get to know your Local Host, and they’ll be able to suggest things to do and places to eat during the rest of your trip that they know you’ll love as well as sharing their favourite hidden gems with you.
What To Expect
We’ll be in touch within 24 hours after booking to find out more about your personality and interests so we can assign a like-minded local who can create a bespoke experience for you.
Your Local Host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary and agree a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.
Your Local Host may also suggest adjustments or new routes if they feel that there is something just around the corner that you may enjoy, or perhaps if the weather affects your itinerary.
Although you will see the main attractions in the area, your Local Host will also help you to discover the places, things, and stories that you won’t find in a guidebook and that make the city unique.

Perfect day in Mexico City!
We used City Unscripted to book a custom 8 hour tour with Alejandro when we had a spare day on a recent trip to Mexico City. We weren't sure if 8 hours would be too long or not but it was just the right amount to hit everything we wanted to see plus all the extra fun stuff we didn't even know about. We were really impressed by Mexico City and found Alejandro to be an absolutely wonderful guide. We'd highly recommend him to anyone and we'll for sure consider using City Unscripted again in the future.

A Sunday afternoon in Mexico City with Roberto
This was my first day in Mexico City. I should say I was unhelpfully vague in my description too CityUnsrcipted as to what I was exactly looking for apart from expressing an interest in art and architecture and then adding that I didn't want to visit any of the particularly popular destinations e.g cathedrals, churches & museums etc.. it didn't occur to me how difficult it might be determine exactly what I might be looking for, I am not sure I knew myself. As it happened it was a really good tour and Roberto was a great guide. I will term the tour as a primer to Mexico City. Roberto set the city into historical, social and cultural contexts which subsequently very usefully informed the rest of my stay. Roberto speaks very good English and is very good company. His intelligent descriptions and insights about the city and its history were fascinating. Furthermore, the afternoon involved visiting places which I can't believe would be on any other tour. They were locations that only a local would know about visiting and then again it was the intelligent explanation of the various influences at work at each place which was most interesting to me. Mexico City is a fascinating and complex city and this afternoon made it much easier for me to go some way too try and understand it
