Perhaps you'll start by exploring one of the oldest east London markets together, soaking up the unique atmosphere as you unearth handmade crafts, jewellery, clothing by up and coming British designers as well as quirky and affordable art. Having played host to a market since the 1600s, the Spitalfields area is also the perfect place to soak up some east London history too.

You could also explore a few of London’s best vintage shops, bursting with antique leathers and retro accessories, as well as the cutting-edge high fashion stores, niche independent boutiques, pop-ups, vinyl record shops and diverse street food markets. Shoreditch is also birthplace of Boxpark, a shipping container pop-up mall for independent fashion and food outlets; vodka fried chicken wings, fresh falafel and loaded bubblewaffles are just a taste of the hipster treats available to try.

Let your Local Host lead you through the labyrinth of streets to discover where some of the most impressive street art in the world is found on exposed brickwork and disused railway carriages, and hear the local stories behind these unique works of art. Your Local Host knows the area well, so walk along cobbled back-alleyways where Banksy has exhibited his street-art, drink craft beers in one of the local breweries owned by bearded locals and soak up the street style in this unique area. Some of the best street art surrounds Brick Lane, a historic street once associated with the gruesome Jack the Ripper murders but now associated with London's artiest elite.

If you're visiting on a Sunday, be sure to head to Colombia Road Flower Market. This place is treasured by tourists and locals alike, and when you visit you’ll soon seem why! Hundreds of flowers and plants are bought and sold here every Sunday, and your local will know the best times to visit – to avoid the crowds and pick up some bargains too!

Before the day is up, make sure to get the lowdown from your local host about the best places to continue into the night, and find out the best ways to party like a Shoreditch local!

Columbia Road Flower Market is only open on Sundays from 8am – 3pm.

¡Excelente tour!

Banksy Street Art and much much more!

I used to live in London myself until I moved to NYC 15 years ago. I hadn't even heard of Shoreditch then let alone thought about visiting it. Just goes to show what evolution occurs in such a vibrant city like London. Sean-Taylor (from my current home town- looks like we've done a city swap) is an amazing guy who brought the place to life. He works there and knows lots of people, vintage shopping, bars, restaurants and of course the amazing Street Art or Graffiti as we used to call it. I loved it, thanks so much S-T!
