Buckle up for a practical crash course in navigating Sapporo like a pro – and a golden opportunity to check out a couple of the city’s must-sees along the way. You’ll jostle your way through a traditional market, Nijo, trawl the 150-year-old Tanukikoji covered shopping arcade for sweet treats and souvenirs, and head to local hangout Nakajima Park, where you could check out the museum and traditional teahouse, or stroll the lush lawns along Sōsei River towards Iyahiko Shrine. When it’s time for a snack, it’s only right for an honorary Sapporo local to try the city’s specialty at Soup Curry GARAKU, before downing a draft of Japan’s most iconic beer in the city that invented it while your host shares more essential insider tips for your trip.

Show moreMy husband, I, and our adult son arrived into Sapporo for a quick two day stay. Since we didn't have much time to get to explore the area on our own, we signed up for an afternoon tour to see and learn as possible in the short time. We took a private walking tour with Toru and enjoyed our time sightseeing in the central Sapporo area. Toru was professional and informative and gave us a great overview. We learned a lot and we felt we saw everything we needed to get a feel of the area. Thank you for a fun afternoon!
