What I love most about this city are the safe bike paths, leafy parks, buzzing food markets, and the way every neighborhood has its own vibe. I spend my time exploring second-hand shops, trying out new café-restaurants, and soaking up local culture in places like Vesterbro, Nørrebro, Østerbro, and the city centre. Whether we’re biking to hidden green spaces or discovering the next great coffee spot, I’ll show you the city through a local’s eyes - fun, relaxed, and full of surprises.

What I love most about Copenhagen is its mix of cultures, flavours, and stories. You’ll often find me exploring the street food scene with my partner - it’s diverse, creative and full of surprises - or enjoying a glass of wine by the water in Christianshavn with friends. I also love the city’s architecture, which feels like walking through a fairy tale with modern touches. On sunny days, I’ll be in a park having a picnic and people-watching. I know neighbourhoods like Nørrebro, Christianshavn, Indre By, Østerbro and Vesterbro inside out and I enjoy sharing their hidden gems and quirky stories - like the tale of the Odd Fellows Palace. Whether it’s food, culture, or the charm of everyday life here, I’d love to show you the Copenhagen I call home.

I’ve fallen in love with Copenhagen because of how relaxed and easygoing life feels here. People love gathering in the sun with a beer, sharing laughs, and enjoying the moment together. There’s very little hierarchy, the work culture is balanced, and getting around the city is incredibly easy, especially by bike, which is my favorite way to explore new corners of the city. I know the centre of Copenhagen and my own neighborhood, Østerbro, especially well. On sunny days, you’ll usually find me by the water with friends, having a picnic or barbecue in one of the parks. I’m also passionate about Copenhagen’s food scene, from cozy bakeries with amazing pastries to lively street food spots. Along the way, I love sharing insights about Danish culture, daily life, biking, history, and the little streets and hidden corners that make Copenhagen so charming.

We spent a lovely afternoon in the company of our local guide Dalit. She was warm, friendly and entertaining. She had lots of interesting facts to impart to us about her adopted home city and entertaining anecdotes to share. She conducted the tour at a pace that suited our advanving years and comes thoroughly recommended.
Great tour. Our guide Dalit was warm, friendly and very informative. She conducted the walking tour at a pace that suited us very well. Lots of little anecdotes about her adopted city and its history enlivened the afternoon. Thoroughly recommended.
The best, exactly what we wanted
We had a wonderful afternoon with Dalit. She is delightful, friendly quise who made us feel very special and most welcome. The historical content that she imparted was both informative and entertaining and has truly stimulated our appetite for Danish history.
This was our third City Unscripted tour and each one has left us with great memories. Building a tour around places we want to see and stops we would like to make with a personal guide can't be beaten. We learned so much about life in Copenhagen. Highly recommended including our guide Ivana.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 6 hours with Ivana. She had built our tour to take us where our coach tour, that we were about to commence, will not cover. She had researched both a cafe and a restaurant that would cater to our vegetarian diet. The areas we toured were "off the beaten track" to see where Danes lived, played and relaxed. This was exactly what we wanted. We learned so much about life in Copenhagen. Ivana was very easy to understand as she spoke flawless English and had a very warm and friendly nature. By the end of our tour we were sad to say goodbye as we had become friends. We highly recommend City Unscripted and Ivana in particular.
Our guide was exactly on time to meet us at the agreed upon location. She agreed to change the meeting location so it was at the place our cruise ship shuttle would drop us off. This was a private tour and as requested the guide told us the history of Copenhagen, showed us some out-of-the-way places, including court yards and interesting book stores, and oriented us so that we where able to explore Copenhagen further on our own. She recommended a great hotdog stand where we had a quick lunch on the go. Well worth the price and in two hours we learned and saw a lot. Thank you!

This isn’t a traditional tour with a fixed script. It’s a fully personalized day shaped around your interests, whether it’s culture, history, neighborhoods, or hidden local spots. Your host is a knowledgeable local, more like a friend showing you their city. It’s flexible, one-on-one, and tailored entirely to you.
After booking, you’ll receive a short questionnaire where you can share your interests, travel style, and any must-see spots. Based on that, we’ll match you with a local host who’ll reach out to plan your personalized itinerary.
Your experience will still go ahead, and your host will adapt the day to suit the conditions. One of the great things about City Unscripted is that no two experiences are the same, and your host knows the city well enough to find great “rainy day” alternatives.
