If at all possible, book your Hong Kong tour with Regene. She was terrific! We had no real set plans or ideas of what we wanted to see or do while in Hong Kong for a couple days, but she helped craft a perfect agenda that melded main attractions and hidden gems. The main attractions felt like "must do's" but the hidden gems gave us deeper understanding and appreciation for how everyday life in Hong Kong plays out (go to a Wet Market - nothing but locals and a fascinating look at how people shop for some of their food). Regene moved us right along all day at a pace we loved. Her English is outstanding, her command of Hong Kong history was impressive, and her insights on the recent and current political/cultural situations were so informative. On top of all that, her personality was a wonderful blend of so many great qualities: upbeat, straight-forward, humorous, patient and flexible. We could not have been happier. This was a great way to explore Hong Kong as a first time visitor. Dennis has great knowledge of the city, not just the main features but some more out of the way places. We were able to share insights into history, architecture, politics and Dennis's speciality - food. I certainly got to see and understand HK far better than I would have done on my own. Not only that, but Dennis kept in contact following the tour with helpful hints for travel, destinations, etc. One word of advice for potential clients: this is a walking tour and everywhere is uphill! We covered some 10 miles in the 8 hours we had together - you need to have stamina and decent walking shoes. Once you understand that, you will have a great tour of the city.

Donald was fluent in English and also in the lore of Hong Kong. We wanted to see some areas where locals are living, and also eat local food, along with some history and political explanations. He did just what we hoped and made our objectives his priority. We took a tram a couple of times, but also walked a lot. Great day in Hong Kong!
