What you’ll do

Discussing politics at the dinner table might be a no-no, but here in Brussels with your local host by your side, you’re free to ask whatever you want! Walk and talk your way through the buildings that surround the headquarters of one of the most powerful political institutions in the world - The European Union.

You’ll get to stroll through the lustrous Cinquantenaire Park and along Montgomery Street, soaking up the atmosphere in the city’s most luxurious area. A fitting way to start before diving into the political history of the city and the buildings you’ll soon spot.

In the European Quarter, you could brush up on your EU knowledge at the Parliamentarian, or simply gawk at the shiny glass buildings and modern highrises that house the EU institutions. We love a surprise though, so you’ll get to experience a whole neighborhood that you’d never have known existed.

Forget Europhiles and bureaucracy - in Matonge, a district literally next to the European Quarter, you’ll find batik shops, Congolese restaurants, and vibrant bars. And your experience is incomplete without taking the Metro to see the iconic Atomium. It’s weird and wonderful - exactly why we like it!

    Mr. Andrea Mogni is a wonderful host! I booked at the last minute (the night before) but I feel like my husband and I were so lucky to have Andrea as our host. He is Italian but has lived in Brussels for decades working in the EU as an economist. He has a wealth of knowledge that is unbelievable- history, language, economics, politics, art to name a few. We got to see all the major sites in a very organized way. As other reviewers have noted, he took us into some of the historic hotels where we saw things not often seen by tourists that were very interesting. We have traveled around the world and I would say that Andrea is one of the best guides we have ever had. I highly recommend Andrea!

    My family recently had the pleasure of taking a walking tour through Liverpool. Let me start by saying our guide, Pete, is the jam! He is both engaging and enthusiastic. He skillfully painted a vivid picture of Liverpool’s history and culture. He captured our attention with intriguing historical tidbits from discussions of the architecture to descriptions of the city’s musical heritage. We toured historical landmarks such as the Albert Dock, the Cavern Club, and Rubber Soul - Beatles Bar. The duration and pace of the walking tour was perfect for our family. The tour is customized for the individual or group and we wanted to keep a brisk pace and cover as much of Liverpool city centre as we could in a few hours. At the end of the tour Pete actually helped us by recommending local restaurants and shops. I highly recommend this walking tour to get a sampling of all Liverpool has to offer...and request Pete!
