What you’ll do

Sydney’s attractions may be too many to count, but with eight hours and a local insider, you’ll easily squeeze in 20 of them. After a quick coffee in upmarket Paddington, cut through historic Hyde Park on your way to the sun-drenched streets and fizzing fountains of Darling Harbor, home to the tranquil Chinese Garden of Friendship.

You could take the ferry across sparkling waters to Circular Quay and the iconic Sydney Opera House and stroll through the Royal Botanic Gardens, an oasis in the city's heart. Even better, you’ll discover your host’s hidden gems that don’t feature in your guidebook – like the affluent suburb of Kirribilli, where a secret fish and chip shop at the base of Harbor Bridge offers unrivaled views across the bay.

Very easy to book. Peter, our guide, got in contact with me prior to or travel date. Very thorough with instructions and meet up location which made it effortless. The company also sent us a survey prior to excursion date with our interests which I thought was great! Wonderful experience. Learned and saw a lot. Thanks Peter!

We wanted to take a private tour on our first day in Sydney to get a lay of the land. Our guide John was very helpful with this. He took us across the Harbor Bridge, walked around the Sydney Opera House then we took a ferry to Watsons Bay then a bus to Bondi Beach. John took us up a trail by Watson’s Bay that I’m sure we wouldn’t have found ourselves and I was able to see some whales playing from our spot atop a cliff! Amazing! We enjoy private tours because it is easier to ask questions and learn about the local culture.
