It was great that Mei was able to find delicious bars and restaurants that suited my tastes on the run. We didn’t do the usual places, but a really nice little bar for nibbles and drinks, a Vietnamese cafe and Spanish restaurant. I like tasty little flavour bombs rather than pizza, and this really delivered. Great bites but most memorable was the pan cont tomate at the Spanish restaurant. I also enjoyed the stroll through Greenwich and West Villages with Mei’s commentary.

Show moreMaurita was fantastic! She guided our family of 4 - 2 adults and 2 kids under the age of 12, through local eateries with a touch of history. The history and culture part were interesting enough for the adults and not too boring for the kids. Which is a definite win. The kids thought they were just eating their way through the city, but little did they know they were learning some historical tidbits, Thats a definite win in my book. Highly recommend Maurita. She was a fantastic guide :)
Show moreWith things returning to life after 2020, it was difficult to find a guided food tour. Luckily, I found this one and they were happy to accommodate me. I knew going into this, that it's probably going to be a bit different with shops and restaurants opening back up, so I kept an open mind. Maurita was extremely helpful with planning since I really had no idea what was available. We went to 2 pizzerias and 2 breweries. Some people like to run through as many as possible, but since it was just the two of us and we were having a great time, I definitely didn't want to rush through anything. The two pizzerias included Vinnie's and Screamer's. The two breweries included Brooklyn Brewing and Keg And Lantern. All of which were unique and showcased two very different sides of their respective craft. Keep in mind, I was a solo traveller and your experience may vary. This is a walking beer and pizza tour, not a history of Brooklyn tour. You're sharing a food and drinking experience with a local resident. You will have a good time because beer and pizza make things better. I'm defiantly looking forward to another return to the area and I will defiantly take this tour again. I would highly recommend it.
