Belly-flopping sea lions, a game of frisbee golf, vintage trams and maybe an artisanal doughnut.
Here’s everything you need to know before your day unfolds.
You’re never far from an activity we guarantee the whole family will love in San Francisco - in fact, we’d go so far as to say it’s got to be one of the most family-friendly cities in existence. If you don’t already, we guarantee you’ll agree with us in four hours’ time.
For the outdoorsy types among you, there’s plenty to keep active with - from clifftop hikes to quirky frisbee golf to roller discos (they still exist).
Or you could opt to explore the colorful street art of the Mission District and inspire those budding artists or hop on a vintage tram up San Francisco’s famously steep streets to the light (creamy ice cream) at the end of the tunnel.
Visit the belly-flopping sea lions who call Pier 39 home, be blown away by science at the Exploratorium, or revisit the spooky history of Alcatraz. Of course, we’ll throw in food stops whenever they’re necessary - from artisanal doughnuts to food truck tacos, we know your kids will love the fresh food here. At this rate, you might need a few more hours to explore.

Maria gave us one of the best experiences we had in San Francisco! Her foodie tour through Chinatown and North Beach was absolutely fantastic — a perfect mix of incredible food, rich history, and great company. She was so knowledgeable about both the history and current culture of San Francisco, which added so much depth to the tour. From hidden gems to iconic bites, every stop was thoughtfully chosen and absolutely delicious. We had plenty to eat with a wide variety of flavors — from savory dumplings to decadent Italian pastries. Maria’s passion for the city and its food scene really shines through. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to eat well and learn a lot in the process!
Show moreWonderful day walking around the city with John who knew the city and its history. We loved seeing the city from his perspective all the alleys and historic spots. Best possible way to get to know the city.
Show moreA wonderful tour of parts of the city from a personal unique perspective. Absolutely loved it! John opened up the city past and present. Perfect
Show moreWe absolutely loved our food tour in San Francisco with Maria. We had just come from New York and did two food tours there . This tour was so much better. Our two twenty year olds ( who love food) were not so keen initially to come with us on this one - comment was too much talking and walking and not enough eating . They loved Maria's food tour and so did we. Too many stops to count . Maria was so lovely and has such a passion for China Town and North Beach/little Italy restaurants. She also took us to places we would not have found ourselves .
Show moreMichael was a fantastic guide! He knew so much about Chinatown and North Beach! We were fortunate enough to visit a temple on New Year's and ate the most delicious pasta in North Beach. Truly a memorable experience!
Show moreMy husband and I find travelling with the kids challenging at the best of times, and we were surprised to see that a company offers a family friendly city experience. We weren't disappointed and more importantly the kids weren't bored once, they loved Gina and she was excellent with them. At the end of the experience she even advised us on the best place to get ice cream. Definitely worth every penny! We wouldn't have been able to do half the things we did if we hadn't booked this - and it would have been far more stressful!! This was a breeze!
