It is sometimes a good idea to get local guides to teach you how to get around. We traveled a lot over the years and only twice used guided services. It’s a judgement call. A female guide was blast for the wife - worth it.

He was very knowledgeable on the history thoughout Istanbul! He took us to some really cool area that were of the beaten path. We really enjoyed it because we love seeing the areas that most tourists dont get to visit! We also visited places that all the tourists want to see! We had a blast for 8 hours! Thank you Cerit for the great experience!

This walk with a local host is amazing. We did not bother with the main sights, but learnt about the Istanbul culture, and visited both the European and Asian sides of the city. We learnt how to use the local transport, how to say a few simple words, tips on bargaining/haggling and suggestions for the remainder of the week. This was the best way for us to start our week in Istanbul. Our host Atilla was fabulous!

Fantastic, a great introduction into an amazing city. We did this activity on our first day in Istanbul. Knowledge of the city, the customs and how to use the transport helped us explore Istanbul across the remainder of the week!
