What you’ll do

In the colorful Bo-Kaap neighborhood, you’ll begin to get under the skin of Cape Town’s chequered history and discover the story of one of its oldest communities. This vibrant district tucked in the cradle of Table Mountain is steeped in history that dates back to the slave trade and height of apartheid, and yet the stories that resonate through these streets and in their museums are powerful and uplifting.

Your local Cape Town host will share with you the important history of this pocket of town, and share with you its cultural and religious landmarks which will leave you with greater appreciation and respect for your surroundings.

And we’ve always got time for good food, so if you feel like it, stop by a Cape Malay restaurant and try its tantalizing cuisine - the kaleidoscopic world of spices (bought of course from the Atlas Trading Company spice shop) and local cuisine are as much a part of the cultural heritage of the district as The Auwal Mosque is.

    It was an amazing tour. Tafa was very knowledgeable. He took us to & told us the history District Six & Boo Kapp. We stopped along the way for some great food & coffee. Tour was supposed to be 4hrs turned i to a wonderful 6hr experience. I would highly recommend Tafa as a tour guide.

    Jon met us in the lobby of our hotel and showed us around various markets in Kowloon. Then off to a Michelin star lunch before heading to Ngong Ping cable car experience. We saw the giant Buda, a monastery, and finished with some shopping. It was a great day and Jon gladly took pictures for/of us to remember it.

    eli was really amazing, I feel like we made a new friend. She was super punctual and friendly and good at planning. Also she loves food and knew where to go shopping. She took us on really nice routes to see shrines mixed with little shops and hidden gems. It was a really fun 3 hours. Eli is very accommodating and polite and funnnyyy :)
