First of all Saya was very knowledgeable about her City. We visited a beautiful Shrine in Harajuku. She guided us along some of the wonderful sites between Harajuku and Shibuya. We spent two incredible days in Tokyo with Michael from City Unscripted. We had already done all of the touristy things with another guide and we're hoping for an insiders' look at Tokyo - Michael definitely delivered! He showed us a fascinating side of Tokyo that we never would have found on our own (and doesn't show up in the traditional itineraries) and brought us to restaurants where we were generally the only foreigners - they were some of the best meals we had the entire trip. We also really appreciated Michael's candid explanations for things and willingness to openly share his views on Japanese culture. Our experience probably isn't for everyone - it definitely felt like a peak behind the curtain, but if that's what you're looking for (and we definitely were) than I highly recommend Michael and City Unscripted.

Mari was so wonderful and friendly. She took the the time to help navigate the trains and elevators with us even though we had 2 very young kids and a stroller to push around. She was very good with the kids and they were sad to see her go after the tour was over! She took us to some of the popular spots from our list that gave us a glimpse into life in Tokyo.
