The visit to Arashiyama with Hide was the highlight of our trip to Kyoto. Hide with patience and flexibility helped to organise brilliantly the visit according our preferences. Otagi Nenbutsuji and Gjo-ji temples were simply amazing and the restaurant chosen by our guide was delicious. Hide, prepared and knowledgeable, was ready to answer to all our questions and curiosity about Japanese culture and society. My son and him even ended up talking about sport and football... A good insight of the Japanese culture that we would have missed visiting the places just by ourselves. Tour highly recommended

We LOVED Tess. Tess texted us a few days before our tour to understand what our food preferences & activity preferences were. We certainly didn't make it easy for her because we basically loved every option she gave us. We started the evening at a sushi restaurant where she made reservations for our large family of 6. She helped order for us since the menu was completely in Japanese. We tried some sake as well at the restaurant. The sushi & food was great! Afterwards; we went to have some matcha dessert/drink at a nearby Matcha place. We were soooo full from dinner; but my husband and kids always have a second stomach for dessert. In hindsight; I wished I ordered one for myself as well since when I tasted it; it was soo soo good. I think we spend the rest of our time in the different cities of Japan trying to find similar matcha-drink/dessert. Nothing was comparable. After dessert; Tess took us on a walk around Kyoto; pointed out different sights; tons and tons of restaurants we should try the next days if we have time, places to go shopping, and even some cool history lessons on Geishas. We were lucky enough to actually see a geisha on our walk which sparked more questions. We ended the night as our kids were jetlagged and so tired. But if you end up with Tess; I can guarantee you will NOT be disappointed!

Aljic was very attentive to our needs. He is very knowledgeable about Osaka. He was able to map out the day and we were able to see much much more than just being in a tour bus. We were able to experience the Japan culture from its history during our museum tour and taste different kind of Japanese delicacies on the market tour. I would highly recommend him.
